Following the successful debut of the festival in 2009, The Carriageworks, Stage @ Leeds and Seven Arts are proud to announce the return of Emerge in June 2010.
Hosting the showcase of innovating, fresh and exciting new work by emerging theatre makers in Leeds, continues the strong partnership between these three new performance spaces.
Emerge is passionate about its support for new writing, new work, developing companies and performance art providing the platform it deserves to move to the next level. The week long festival will encompass workshops, expert panel feedback, network events and an atmosphere that will encourage new and regular audiences alike to see the new, emerging talent in Leeds.
For more information please contact carriageworks@leeds.gov.uk Please download the Emerge Application Form at the bottom of this page. Some of the best new theatre in Britain is coming out of Leeds. And there are three great new venues supporting it - The Carriageworks, Seven and Stage@Leeds. Emerge will see all three working together to make a noise about the good things happening in our city.
We want to see local theatre makers and companies thriving and being given the national and international recognition they deserve. Whether it's new writing or devised performance, Emerge will showcase the best the region has to offer.
