She's a rising star in the sport of competitive tree climbing, he's aquiet nonentity.

How they fall in love isn't the story. Staying together when their world isfilled with imaginary flatmates, underground Compliment Clubs and Satanicjazz bands - that's the story. From the imagination of one of the Fringe'smost lauded comedy talents comes an extraordinary tale of love, loneliness, tree climbing, and a deeply oblivious fish.

Winner of a Herald Angel Award in 2005 and broadcast as a Radio 4 AfternoonPlay in 2006, Coelacanth is included in More Trees To Climb (PortobelloBooks) a collection of Ben Moor's one-man shows.

It's a real challenge to catch the subtlety and brilliance of one linebefore moving on to the next.  Moor's observations brim with eccentricoriginality, they are presented with comforting sincerity making them feel familiar and personal.
THE LIST (FOUR STAR REVIEW)

The envy of more well-known comics for his hugely intelligent writing, . .  A
real treat.
BIG ISSUE

Surreal and charming . . . (The) script is sharp... clever and witty withoutbeing overbearing.  A show of quietly confident quality, with a poignant ending full of resonances. This is thought-provoking stuff.
METRO

Told in a charmingly oddball manner, this is a delightful vignette of hope and despair . . . it's also very wise.
THE HERALD (FOUR STAR REVIEW)

Moor's performance is sensitive and gentle, his voice soothing as itdelivers jokes, and insights that fall one after another like leaves. One man, one hour - simple but effective, this is fringe theatre at its best.
