Aimed at young people aged 10 – 16, The Theatre Academy is led by the nationally renowed Theatre company Blah, Blah, Blah.

HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY

The Theatre Academy performed on Sunday 24 January as part of the Holocaust Memorial Day at The Leeds Town Hall.

Using the deeply moving pictures and poems from the children in Terezin Concentration camp, the Academy presented a 15 minute commissioned piece as part of the hour long event.


















The Theatre Academy shines out on Light Night! 
The Theatre Acedemy thrilled crowds with their first performance  DOORWAY, on Millennium Square on Friday 9th October.

As part of the city wide Light Night the group had been asked to think about their city and how they would like to see it in a new light. What would they like to see if they opened a door in the middle of Millennium Square?

Young People’s Arts Award




The Arts Award supports young people to develop as artists and arts leaders and is available throughout England. The Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification at three levels - Bronze, Silver and Gold. It is run by Arts Council England and Trinity Guildhall.

We will be offering participants in the Theatre Academy the opportunity to gain a bronze award. You will be expected to deliver this component. As part of this we will pay for you to be trained as an Arts Award Advisor.  We expect you to undertake this training in addition to delivering the schedule delivered above.
