In line with national guidance to manage the impact of coronavirus in Leeds to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all Leeds City Council (LCC) staff and the people of Leeds, we must, for the time being, continue to stay at home unless it is absolutely essential to go out in order to protect our NHS and save lives.

The majority of our events through to the end of June have either been cancelled by the promoter or postponed to a later date. If you have bought tickets to any of our events a member of our Box Office team will be in touch with you shortly. If you have any queries please contact: and allow our team to either respond via email or call you back. If that’s not possible, please call the team on 0113 376 0318 (Mon-Fri between 10am and 5pm). Please be prepared for a short wait as our Box Office team are now working remotely. Voicemail messages will be collected on a regular basis and someone will get back to you at the earliest opportunity. Please be assured that every ticket holder will be contacted either by email, telephone or post. We won’t forget you.

Until it is safe and practical to welcome audiences back to our events we will continue to develop our online content and look forward to engaging with as many people as possible through our social media channels, where we’ll also keep you informed of any changes and their implications as soon as we can.

Many thanks for your understanding and continued support during these difficult times.

Keep safe and well.

With kind regards
Leeds Arts Events & Venues Team

Bring Your Family

Carriageworks Theatre aims to be a family friendly venue. If you have any additional questions or comments please contact the planning team on 0113 378 7132.
Many family shows offer a discounted Family Ticket (4 tickets max 2 adults) which should be booked over the phone or in person as it is not available online.
Children under one year old come free but will not be given a specified seat.
Prams cannot be taken into either performance space but Front of House Staff can direct you to an appropriate 'parking area'.
Either performance space may be set-up with a flat floor rather than raked seating for particular productions allowing children to sit on tour mats so they can get closer to the action and improve their view and experience.
Child booster seats are available from the Front of House Staff as you enter the Main Auditorium on a first come first served basis due to limited availability.
Carriageworks Theatre welcomes mothers who wish to breast-feed. Please feel free to do so throughout the building, but if you would prefer a private area then let a member a staff know and we will provide one if available.
Baby changing facilities are available on all floors in the unisex disabled toilets.
Under 13s must be accompanied by an adult.
Some productions have age restrictions applied by the companies, while others have age guidance to help you choose shows most appropriate for your family.  Please contact Box Office (0113 376 0318) or with any queries.
