Stories Across Worlds with Jacqueline

This workshop will help you develop stories that range across landscapes, languages, space and time. Using writing exercises, visuals and soundscapes we will develop unique settings.  We will develop characters and place them within settings that give them voice to tell their unique stories. This workshop is suitable for writers of all levels, particularly those from the margins, writing outside the mainstream.

Jacqueline Crooks individual stories have been shortlisted in the Asham Award and Wasafiri New Writing competitions and have appeared in: Virago and Granta; the Woven Tale Press; and MsLexia. She has an MA in Creative and Life Writing from Goldsmiths University. She is the recipient of an Arts Council England Individual Artist award for her writing. She delivers writing workshops to socially excluded communities, primarily older people, refugees and asylum seekers, disadvantaged children and young people. She works with small publishers to publish their stories as a way of championing diverse and extraordinary voices.
