The Short Story and Our World

The Short Story and Our World

STORGY and Comma discuss the political and out-of-this world possibilities of the short story, featuring EXIT EARTH winner Rachel Connor.

Rachel Connor is a novelist (Sisterwives) as well as a playwright and radio dramatist. She is the Director of English with Creative Writing at Leeds Beckett University.

STORGY was founded in 2013 by Tomek Dzido and Anthony Self as a means by which to explore the short story form and engage with readers and artists alike. An online literary short story magazine consisting of a core group of dedicated writers, STORGY aims to inspire artistic collaboration and provide opportunities for creative minds to meet.

Comma’s Mission is to put the short story at the heart of contemporary narrative culture. Through innovative commissions, collaborations and digital initiatives, they aim to explore the power of the short story to transcend cultural and disciplinary boundaries, and to enable greater understanding across these boundaries.
