Ratcatcher is a bold new musical inspired by The Pied Piper of Hamelin, reimagined as a sharp, funny and thought‑provoking exploration of misinformation, populist leadership and the power of stories to shape belief.

Written by Philip Henderson and Michael D. Ward, whose past credits include the West End musical The Far Pavilions, the show uses music, satire and ensemble storytelling to ask urgent questions about how fear spreads through communities — and who benefits when people stop questioning the narrative.

Set in a town gripped by crisis and manipulation, the story places young people at the heart of resistance and truth‑seeking. This youth workshop production, directed by Anita Adams, brings together a professional creative team and young performers to share an exciting work‑in‑progress with audiences.

Energetic, accessible and contemporary, The Ratcatcher offers a compelling introduction to a new musical with strong relevance for today.  Ideal for young people, families and adults interested in bold new musical theatre.
