Leeds Arts Events & Venues - Covid-19 Update (15 June 2020)

In order to protect the safety and well-being of our audiences and staff, as we continue to manage the impact of COVID-19 in Leeds; to stay at home as much as possible to control the virus and save lives, our events through to the end of July have either been cancelled by the promoter or postponed to a later date.

If you have bought tickets to any of our events a member of our Box Office team will be in touch with you shortly. Information for Schools/Groups

The Carriageworks Theatres imaginative productions are inspiring, innovative and provide the perfect introduction to the magic of theatre.

Local schools and nurseries visit the Carriageworks Theatre each year to experience thrilling, world-class theatre that can also provide plenty of opportunities for follow-up activities. 

On this page you’ll find information on how we can make your trip hassle-free, and also find out about the range of services we provide for schools.

Booking a school trip

Free tickets for teachers: One teacher or accompanying adult goes free for every ten children.

Reserving tickets: To book tickets for your class, call the Box Office on 0113 376 0318 or email


Payment must be made no later than 6 weeks before the date of your visit.  Please be certain of your numbers when paying as no refunds can be made once payment is received.

Refreshments:  Drinks, ice-creams and lollies are available but must be ordered in advance. You can contact our Operations department on 07891279100

Lunch: An informal lunch space is usually available on request, although places are limited. Please let us know your requirements when booking.

Getting to the Carriageworks Theatre: There is no parking for coaches immediately outside the Carriageworks Theatre, although coaches are able to drop-off and pick-up from Great George Street.

The Carriageworks Theatre encourages teachers to make a preparatory visit to assess the facilities available to school groups. Simply call 07891279100 to arrange a visit. An information pack and risk assessment is available to download from the bottom of this page.
